About North Virginia Area

Northern Virginia comprises the affluent, heavily populated area southwest of metropolitan Washington, DC. Although not formally defined, northern Virginia usually is considered to encompass parts of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties. Municipalities include Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Jefferson, McLean, Springfield and Tysons Corner.
